TSQL DDL Code History Tool - Known Issues/Limitations
Event for sp_rename is not tracked in SQL 2005.
This is a limitation of SQL 2005 and will not be fixed in future versions of the application. This issue is fixed in SQL Server 2008.
Command text is not captured for all DDL Events. e.g. Objects created WITH ENCRYPTION, certificates etc
The command text is not captured for security reasons. Microsoft do not include the text in the XML Event Data generated for event notifications and DDL triggers. This won't be fixed in future versions of the application
DDL Snapshots do not support all object types
Future versions of the application will increase support for more object types.
DDL Snapshots do not support encrypted objects.
The current version of the application is using SMO to script objects in the database. It's not possible to decrypt encrypted objects using this method.
