Hi,

Some of our students are in the habit of "forgetting" thier passwords. This means they can waste a seasion either distracting others in the class or "looking" for me so I can sort it out. I'm setting up the program so all of the staff can run it to reset the student passwords themselves, thus reducing the time wasting.

What would be useful is a "single click" reset. In effect when you run the program it asks which student to reset and after a confirmation applies the settings i've already selected; such as a default password, change password at first login, etc.

Just a thought.

Hi,

You might want to disable the "Reset after password change" option:

File\Settings\Reset after password change

After disabling this option, the password textbox will no longer reset after changing a password.

Hope this helps,

David

I think something might have been lost in traslation...

As the administrator I could choose which settings I wanted to apply and even create a default password (something stupid like "Password") this would then be automatically applied everytime a student password was reset.

If I set a default password then I'd need the user to change it to something more suitable so I'd want to force the change at the next login.

Then when a teacher needed to reset a students password all they would need to do is find the student and click reset, without being faced with any further options. The thing is pretty fool proof but we have some teachers that like to tinker, and some others who actually used the wooden mouse ;-)
