Hi,
I'm trying to do a bulk modify using Bulk AD Users to enable Remote Access Permission in the Dial In tab. It says it has completed successfully although when i check the active directory afterwards it doesn't seem to have changed.

Is there an alternative to do this or can you please provide a fix.

Thanks in advance,
Matthew Nieto

Hi,

It seems to work ok for me - It could be that the domain controllers haven't had time to replicate the changes. Also, if you had the user open in ADU&C but didn't close the dialog down the data wouldn't get refreshed if you attempt to reopen it.

You could try checking later to see if the update has replicated. Also you can connect to a specific domain controller using the connect dialog (using the name/IP address of the DC).

If it still doesn't work - verify that you are using the version of Bulk AD Users available to download on the right hand side of this page:

http://www.wisesoft.co.uk/software/bulkadusers/default.aspx

After performing the update, check the "Detail" tab of the Bulk Modify Results - any errors will be shown here. The result dialog also identifies the user accounts that were updated and the attributes for those user accounts that were modified. Double check that the attribute is "msNPAllowDialIn". This is the attribute that is modified from the "Dial In" tab of the Bulk Modify dialog.

Let me know if this helps.

Thanks,

David

Hi,
Thanks, i think there was just a slight delay with the domain controllers replicating the changes. I just checked and it seems to have been enabled.

Thanks again, and Fantastic product.
