Hi

I'm trying to setup Password control on a teacher machine so that he can change pupil passwords. Unfortunately i get the following error message when trying to change passwords.

Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))

When i log on as a domain administrator i am able to change passwords without a problem, so i thought this could be a delegation issue. I followed the instructions on the delegation page on this website ([url=]http://www.wisesoft.co.uk/software/passwordcontrol/delegating_permissions.aspx) but i am still unable to change passwords on the teacher account.

Any ideas on what i could try next?

Thanks in advance

Mike

Hi,
I am getting the same error, even though I am logging in as Domain Admin account and trying to rest the password of normal user.
You advice is highly appreciated, I need to reset the password for about 500 user accounts.
Thank you.

Hi,

It might be a user account control issue - have you tried running as administrator?

Hope this helps,

David
